Each year, children in Grades 3,5,7 and 9 in Australia sit national tests called NAPLAN. Most countries have some kind of standardized testing for this age school kids.
Whether or not you agree with the principals behind these tests, testing is a part of school life.
Here are some ways in which we helped our girls practice the skills and knowledge they are tested on. We have provided links to actual test practice material, but mainly we have focused on fun ways to practice the numeracy and literacy skills that are relevant not only to these tests, but are vital skills our primary aged kids should be learning and becoming proficient in.
